How to Use Vendor Showcase in the CSN Planner Experience

Overview

Vendor Showcase allows Cvent planners to opt into a curated sourcing experience during the venue RFP send process. When selected, planners notify the Cvent Vendor Marketplace team that they are open to sourcing vendors based on your event details and the vendor categories you select.

This streamlines the process of finding relevant vendors — especially for planners who prefer a more hands-off approach.

Availability Requirements

You’ll only see the Vendor Showcase option if:

  • You’re using the new CSN Planner experience (PHX)

  • Your account has the "Find Vendors" button enabled

  • Your Cvent account is SSO-linked with a Reposite organization

If these conditions aren’t met, the Vendor Showcase option will not appear.

How to Use Vendor Showcase

Step-by-step:

  1. Start creating a Venue RFP in the new CSN Planner experience.

  2. On the final “Send RFP” step, you’ll see a checkbox labeled “Share with Vendors” — this is the Vendor Showcase opt-in.

  3. Check the box to participate.

  4. You’ll see a list of vendor categories selected by default

  5. Deselect any categories you don’t want included.

    • If you deselect all categories, you’ll be shown an opt-out screen.

    • Re-selecting categories will bring back the full list.

What Happens After You Opt In

When you opt in and send your Venue RFP:

  • Reposite’s internal team receives a notification email with your event and RFP details.

  • Based on the categories you selected, they will create a Reposite Project and RFPs on your behalf.

  • These RFPs will appear in two places:

    • The Reposite Planner UI

    • The Vendors tab in your CSN Planner experience

These RFPs behave just like the ones you create manually — you can track responses, view activity, and manage everything in one place.

Note: If you don’t yet have Reposite Planner account access, a member of the Cvent team will contact you to get you set up and help to activate your account.

What You’ll See in Reposite

Once your Project and RFPs are created via Showcase, they’ll follow the same visibility rules as manually created RFPs. You’ll see them in:

  • Your Reposite Planner Dashboard

  • The Vendors tab in your CSN experience, sorted by created date (newest first)

Each entry will show event info, RFP status, selected vendor categories, and activity.
